Dedicated to Excellence in Foot & Ankle Care

Emily Lobos, D.P.M.

Dr. Emily Lobos is a board-qualified podiatric surgeon with advanced fellowship training in foot and ankle trauma and reconstructive surgery. She is passionate about helping patients regain mobility and return to the activities they love—whether through surgical care or conservative treatment.

Originally from Washington, North Carolina, Dr. Lobos completed her undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill before earning her medical degree from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. She completed her residency at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA, followed by a highly specialized fellowship at The Southeast Permanente Foot & Ankle Trauma & Reconstructive Fellowship in Atlanta, GA.

Dr. Lobos is a member of several professional associations, including the American Podiatric Medical Association, the North Carolina Foot & Ankle Society, the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, and the American Public Health Association’s Foot and Ankle Health Section. She is board qualified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery.

Dr. Lobos was drawn to podiatry for its unique blend of hands-on procedures, long-term patient relationships, and the ability to make a tangible impact on people’s daily lives. She enjoys treating a wide range of conditions, with particular interest in trauma, ankle sprains, ankle arthritis, flatfoot, and bunions. Her training includes expertise in both advanced surgical procedures and minimally invasive techniques.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Lobos enjoys yoga and Pilates, reading science fiction, and listening to sports and true crime podcasts. A devoted UNC Tar Heels fan, she rarely misses a game. She also loves staying active through intramural sports—especially flag football, her personal favorite.
